My name is RíLee. Though Iíve been a member of TNC for about 2.5 years, itís been a while since Iíve posted anything to this forum. Iím hoping that someone can help me with this question.
I have recently gotten 2 new computers and I want to network them together with a third one that I am using at present. For the purpose of this question I will call the computers, C1, C2, and C3.
Consider that C1 ( the one I am using now) is connected to the internet via DSL. All three computers have Ethernet cards.
I want to be able to access C2 and C3 From C1. Basically making C2 and C3 slaves to C1
I'd like to know if I can network them with out using a router.
I've done some reading and I understand that 2 computers can be connected directly, using USB cables but I don't have any of these. I do have, one ďNull Modem CableĒ and 4 ďCat 5Ē cables.
So I came up with this idea.
