Hi Newbie Crew,

Could use some help !!!

As well as critical and security updates, Windows 98 Second Edition Update has given me the option to install Microsoft.NET Framework version 1.1. It has a download size of 23.1MB and will take approx 2hrs 14mins.

It also states that you only need to install .NET Framework if you have software that requires it.

How do I find out if this is the case or not. I've left it so far as I have no idea what it is, and it seems too huge to download on the off-chance.

I'd be grateful for any Newbie Guru Wisdom you can spare. Thanx.

MS say: "The programming model for building XML web services and applications." In other words, if you're planning a website with lots of advanced features, you'll be possibly using the .Net framework, for example with Visual Studio. Here's all the tech stuff if you want to find out more:
