Please take my hand and show me step by step how to build a website. I just recently joined SFI and I have 358 affiliates, 14 of which are members. Now what do I do? Dazed and confused, PJ

Nobody will do that. However, you can take the initiative to educate yourself. A good place to start is with First Website Builder on this site. It's at http://newbieclub.com/builder and it'll "take you by the hand" so to speak.

Hi Patricia,

Besides the First Website Builder, you may want to avail yourself to many of the fine (and free) tutorials available on the 'net right now.

Webmonkey:

Cnet: Builder

Freeskills:

Just remember that the key to learning any of this stuff is by doing! So in that vein, you may want to look into some free webhosts ...

... such as Geocities (http://www.geocities.com), or Tripod (http://www.tripod.com). These guys can host your site, and you can practice your HTML with them.

If however, you decide to forgo learning HTML all together (not a wise idea! =) they do offer a beginner feature that will allow you to create a website from scratch without any hard HTML-know-how.

If you're in business, you may even want to try Bigstep (http://www.bigstep.com), which specializes in this kind of stuff for businesses, and is very userfrendly.

Best of luck,
Tony Hung.
