I WOULD LIKE TO SAY GOODBUY TO YOU ALL
I FINALLY GOT MY PROBLEM SORTED WITH THE HACKERS NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS SINCE SATURDAY.
NOW CAN LOGIN INTO MY ISP BILLING ACCOUNT AND WAS HORRIFIED TO FIND THEY HAVE RUN UP A BILL FOR £63 AND MY ISP HAVE BEEN A WASTE OF TIME.
STILL GETTING PORNO BY E-MAIL.
SO I HAVE DECIDED ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, TIME TO CLOSE DOWN MY COMPUTER IT IS NOT WORTH THE £15 99 I PAY EACH MONTH.
WELL ALL YOU GOOD PEOPLE OUT THERE TAKE CARE.

It can take a great deal of effort to stay online. Once one of these very clever bad folks gets a foot in the door, you have to follow through, follow through, follow through, until you've beat it. That is very intimidating to Newbies, but it really is a step-by-step process that brings a positive relult in the majority of cases.
The most important things are:
Have a firewall. Without a firewall, I don't care what you do, you are going to be successfully attacked.
Run anti virus and spyware protection, and update them frequestly. They can both prevent spyware from loading, and root them out if they do (depending on the software (s) that you use.
Stay patched (not just your OS, but your other software, as well.
I still get occasional spyware on my system, but I catch them quickly and send them on their way, all with software (point and click). Everything that I have except Norton is FREE.

I just read an article by Robert Vamosi of Cnet this AM which identifies, I am sure, what happened to Sheila. The beast has reared it's ugly head in the US, but it has been a wildfire in Europe and GB.
