In one of the article regarding backing up your files, you have suggested to make an ‘archive’ file of your own, zip the files, drag and drop the zipped files into the archive file. Now you say this archive file be transferred to an off-disk (floppy, Iomega zip disk, ). But there are other methods for this data to be stored for example on a web page or the space allowed by certain organisations like Yahoo and Microsoft etc. So please let me know how one can store this Archived data on the just above mentioned space.

You'd have to upload the zipped file to whatever location you were using for your storage. To upload, you need an FTP program that will transfer your files (copy them) to the location you specify, which will be some other computer.
