I'm in a mess:
I've got an Athlon XP 2000+ CPU, 512 MB DDR Ram and a Radeon 9700 Pro graphics board. I've got Windows 98 SE installed on my system (60 GB HDD).
1.) When I go to my DirectX diagnostics, I find AGP Texture Acceleration 'Not Available'. That's not causing major problems as yet, cause I can run games like Far Cry at max. details rather smoothly.
However, my prime reason for sorrow is that I've been waiting for this game DOOM3 almost all my life (atleast 3 years, I mean). I get my computer revved up with rather high performance specs. When I finally buy Doom3, it doesn't run. Ask me why?!
That's because it requires Windows 2000/XP and I have 98SE. It's not a case of hardware not supported, which is a very common problem, but for the first time I find it's software not supported!!!
I'm really heartbroken! Help me, please. How can I run it without upgrading Windows (is there any patch available, etc.?)
I'll be a slave 4 u!
