This will depend on your system, and your personal preferences. For example, if you go online your anti-virus and firewall should be in startup. There will also be a lot of stuff associated with running your PC - perhaps a printer control panel, or fax program.


A handy program is Startup Mechanic, http://www.startupmechanic.com which will list what's in your startup, and allow you to remove stuff you don't want. It will also find ad-ware,etc, and programs that you don't run much.
